My NANC PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION

The greatest leader is not one who does the greatest things, he is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things
It is of great benefits and pragmatic approach towards sustainable development, youth advocacy and development that we start promoting what we love instead of bashing what we hate.

This is to humbly declare at the instance of the greatest Nigerian youths and comrades, leaders and stakeholders, my aspiration to vie for the Presidential position of National Association of Nigerian Comrades (NANC). My intent was born after due consultation with God, my family, NANC stakeholders, mentors, friends and colleagues in the field of struggle.
Which other form of challenge shall we get that is greater than the power to decide the fate of our dear association?.

Am not here as a Messiah, Neither as lord but as servant of the common men for the interest of the masses to fulfill the utmost desire of the downtrodden. At this point in time when studentocracy and youth advocacy for government has invoked, we can’t but acknowledged the rightful channel upon which such must be continually itemized towards achievement.

With the help of my energetic and capable leaders, I have been able to gain and garner the exposure and experience that I have, and with this I am certain that I am prepared for this higher assignment.

My vision is to create a valuable system of learning, maintaining cultural ethics, leadership, youth advocacy and character to develop a conducive platform for youths inclusive governance through an efficient youth promotion.

With years of professional and political experience in Youth activities and affairs, I believe I am the ideal Candidate for the National Presidential position.

I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing Science from Uictoria University, Benin Republic in 2014 and also Bachelors Degree in Computer Science at ECOTES University, Ogun State, 2018. I observed my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Osogbo, Osun State in 2019. During my undergraduate days, I was privileged to serve in different leadership capacities, which developed my capabilities used to champion the cause of students and youths.

I was President of Faculty of Science and Technology (FASTEST) from 2012 to 2013 where i served as the link between the students and the faculty, i used this position to address issues that bordered on students welfare within the faculty. In 2013, I became the President of the Student Union Government (SUG) Uictoria University. With this position, i presided over the policy, executive aspect of the SUG for effective running of union and also carried out oversight functions to ensure proper implementation of policies for the general good of the students. By the special grace of God, I am the Executive Director, Youth for Peace and Security Africa – A youth focused NGO with thematic focus on youth for peace building in Africa and it’s adverse effects to their lives as well as Political/economic impact of youth. I was National Financial Secretary of National Association Nigerian Comrades (NANC) 2015 – 2017, which I handled the financial documentation of the Association. We served with accountability and transparency.

My most recent position as the Director General, Directorate of Diaspora, Youth and Student Matters – National Association of Nigerian Comrades (NANC), gave me a great deal of experience that I feel would directly benefit the Comrades and Youth community at large. I was charged with representing the Youths and Students to the office of the National President, and this I did with excellence. While doing this, I built a good working relationship with all my contemporaries. I value greatly the lessons learnt and the skills I have acquired. I feel it is time to aspire for a higher position where my experience and skills would be put to effective and positive use for the greater good of the Youths and Comrades in Nigeria and beyond.

In addition to my demonstrated competence in time past, I hail from the Western Region of the country and I have been in the business of grassroot development and peace advocacy in the region.

The Presidential position has been on my radar for quite a while now, and there is no better time than this to realise a Youth Rebirth in our dear Nation. I therefore seize the opportunity presented.

Given my education and experience, I am confident that I am of excellent character and have the requisite qualities for the Presidency position at NANC National seat. I have researched my popularity and strength and determined that the Presidential position and my SWOT is a strong match.

Before I round up this press statement, May I quickly use this opportunity to salute our Stakeholders and most importantly the current executives of the Association. Their contribution to youth development and advocacy is unimaginable. History will certainly be kind to them.

Finally, In a couple of days, we will role out our action plans aimed at rebuiding National Association of Nigerian Comrades (NANC) nationwide.
