Asamoah Gyan Applauds Super Eagles Star for Passionate Performance in AFCON

Former Ghanaian international, Asamoah Gyan, has praised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his passionate performance in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Round of 16 match against Cameroon on Saturday night.

In the AFCON clash, where Nigeria secured a 2-0 victory over Cameroon, Osimhen, who plays for Napoli, provided an assist for two goals scored by Ademola Lookman.

Gyan, whose own team was eliminated in the group stage, expressed his admiration for Osimhen’s passionate play on his X account, saying, “Osimhen plays with passion. That’s what every country wants their players to do.”

Osimhen is now focused on leading Nigeria in the AFCON quarter-final against Angola on Friday.
