Bayo Ojulari attends NNPCL meeting as resignation rumours swirl
Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), was seen participating virtually in an event organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (Nigerian Council) in Lagos on Monday, August 4.
A video shared by attendees of the event showed Ojulari delivering a message via Zoom. He was listed as one of the keynote speakers for the gathering, which brought together industry stakeholders and professionals.
Ojulari’s appearance comes amid widespread speculation regarding his possible dismissal by the presidency under unclear and controversial circumstances. Despite the rumours, there has been no official confirmation or statement from either the presidency or NNPCL addressing the matter.
The last known official engagement of the GCEO was a town hall meeting with staff of the company at the NNPCL Towers in Abuja, as indicated in a company statement issued on Wednesday, July 30.
