Netanyahu Warns of “Next Stage” as Israel Plans Multi-Pronged Offensive on Hamas in Gaza

Israel’s prime minister has been speaking to troops at the border after the window for the evacuation of Palestinians to flee from the north of Gaza along two main routes without being harmed ended.

More repatriation flights to leave Tel Aviv in coming hours

Three flights have flown British citizens out of Israel in the last few days, with more expected in the coming hours, the Foreign Office has said.

Government and Red Cross teams are in the country supporting vulnerable Britons trying to leave Israel, it added.

The government is advising against all travel to Israel and occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza.

James Cleverly, the foreign secretary, said: “The UK is committed to supporting British nationals in Israel and Gaza following this brutal terror attack by Hamas.

“The safety of all British nationals is our priority, and we urge everyone to continue to follow our advice and register their presence, so we can get in touch.”.

UK officials are also attempting to facilitate Britons leaving Gaza via the Rafah Sisi crossing into Egypt, with the prime minister and foreign secretary in conversations with their Egyptian counterparts.
