A lawyer has shared an eerie encounter with an old woman she met on her first week in law school.

She explained that she was polite to the woman who then told her that the way to graduate with a first class is to pay for “great grace”, join a study group and study hard.

She said she later told people about the woman who sells things at the school gate but everyone said there was no such woman and she never met the woman again.

She followed the woman’s advice and ended up being one out of 20 people who grafuat3d with first class in a cohort of 5770 people.

She wrote: “Nigerian Law School. Week 1 on my way back from class, I greeted an old woman really nicely and she engaged me in a conversation. Encouraged me to study hard and I told her I was looking to make first class. She said she’s been selling something in front of law school gate for years & told me the hack is to pray for “great grace”.

“She said I should get a study group and study hard but never forget to keep praying for “great grace” and we will make it. She also gave me her phone number.

“Well, I left her & called my friend who was in law school the previous year. She said nobody sells anything there. I checked. Truly nobody did. She said the name didn’t ring a bell. The number never went through & I never saw her again.

“My study partner and I made first class out of only 20 firsts in our cohort of 5770. Glory to God!”
