Strong Condemnation of Unacceptable Act of Violence and Incivility in Akoko North West Youth – Comr. Alabi olabode Jedidiah C

The youth of Akoko North West under the able leadership of Alabi olabode Jedidiah C, has described the physical altercations that led to the gross violations of the persons Prohibition act by Mr Awolumate Olumide as against the Hon. Commissioner for woman affairs; Dr. Mrs. Oshadahun Bunmi, is highly condemnable, uncivil and a barbaric act.

Violence against any individual, irrespective of their gender, occupation or political affiliation is absolutely unacceptable and intolerable. Hon. Dr. Bunmi Osadahun is a dedicated public servant who has tirelessly worked for the betterment of our state, particularly in empowering women and advocating for their rights. Such an attack on her person is an affront to the principles of democracy, respect for human rights and the rule of law.

The fact that this act of violence occurred because of a palliative distribution meant to provide relief to vulnerable members of society during challenging times, underscores the utter disregard for the most vulnerable in our community. It tarnishes the very essence of public service and the duty of politicians to serve the people with integrity and compassion.

The escalation of this issue, would not only give us bad image in the community of local governments but will also destroy the reputations our heroic and illustrious sons and daughters have had. We therefore call on all concerned APC stakeholders, Council of Chiefs, Community Elders and Peace keepers for swift interventions to salvage the international affairs from taking over the issue.

Sincerely yours,
Alabi olabode Jedidiah C.
