Hollywood star George Clooney insists he’s living a “normal” life even though he and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, have a combined net worth of about $550 million and own homes across the world, from a Lake Como villa to a New York condo worth $14.7 million.

Speaking at the New York Film Festival premiere of his new Netflix film Jay Kelly, the 64-year-old actor explained that his version of normalcy involves school runs with his eight-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, Daily Mail reported.

“I have normalcy. You know, I drive my kids to school every morning,” George said. “I have normalcy  except for this!” he added, referring to the flashing cameras on the red carpet.

Clooney admitted his life is “somewhat pampered,” but said he shields his children from that reality: “They didn’t come to the set much. They came a couple of times. I try to keep the kids away from that experience right now.”

Amal Clooney, 47, who joined him at the premiere in a red Oscar de la Renta dress, also echoed his sentiments in a recent interview, saying: “We don’t put our children out there, we’ve never put their photo out there or anything like that.”

The couple, who recently marked their 11th wedding anniversary, are known for balancing high-profile careers with family life. Amal revealed George has always been supportive of her demanding schedule: “I remember when I became a mom, he was the first one to say, ‘I know you’ve got this speech at the Security Council. You have to go, I’ve got the kids, don’t worry about it.’”
